[ THE GUIDE ]

slinkster was conceived out of a desire to form a network of individuals who thrive on creating and developing their artistic skills, while carving their niche in urban underground culture.  We can only forge ahead in our quest for diversity and subversion if we continue to receive material from around the world from people like you! These guidelines are here to help you find your feet when facing the challenge of what to send, and by following most of them, you will make our lives easier in compiling and editing slinkster.

1. Submissions to slinkster are not paid as we are at this stage a non-profit voluntary organization.  However, as we expand our readership, we aim to be providing quality press to a large network and your name will be out there for the world to see.  So, if your interest lies in expanding your repertoire and honing your skills, rather than lining your pockets, you will definitely benefit from contributing to slinkster.

   2. All Submissions to slinkster should be sent to the following address, either as an attached file (.doc or .rtf format) or in the body of an email: slinkstermag@aol.com

3.  Please include the following information with your contribution(s).  This serves the purpose in helping us to keep track of contributions, and with crediting them correctly on the site.

* Title

            * Author

                        * Contact information (email/ web-sites) and whether you would like these to be published or kept private

*Any other info of interest (other related works, where to find them)

* A short bio of the author (50- 100 words) or, ask for a contributor questionnaire

4. Please keep work free from prejudice and intolerance. Please don’t offend other readers with generalisations or discriminatory attitudes as slinkster aims to provide a powerful message of global consciousness and respect for the global community.

5. slinkster is currently seeking contributions in the following areas:

beats >>  interviews, editorial-style opinion articles, charts, reviews, profiles, political commentary, all time best/worst lists, historical development, tour news, radio shows

6.      Please keep all submissions to an approximate 500- 1000 word length (unless its really good)

7.      We’re also on the hunt for original artwork (in electronic form), comics, animation, photography and graphics

8. slinkster would like to push the boundaries and publish anything from the erotic, bizarre, raunchy, racy or taboo, therefore we do not have any strict guidelines on censorship (unless its particularly derogatory or offensive- you get the drift). we want slinkster to be an observation of urban culture in all it's glory, and that includes the less-talked about elements. Knowledge is power

9.      Please advise whether you are interested in submitting on a regular basis, are available for assignments, or whether you would just like your work published as a one-off.

Peace
